Cotti Coffee opened recently in the heart of San Gabriel – on Valley Blvd, of course. It’s a massive chain that started in China and now has over 7,500 stores in 28 countries. It’s the first Chinese coffee company with a branch in the Middle East. They serve 100% arabica coffee beans. I don’t think they have any food. Drinks include lattes (oat, vanilla, pampas blue coco, coco, creamy, hazelnut, brown sugar, caramel), Americano, flat white, cappuccino, milk tea, fresh fruit tea, frappes, and coffee-tea blends.

Prices are lower than average. For extra savings, download their app and order through the app. The first purchase of a drink on the app is just $0.99 and there were lots of coupons on the app.

Pampas blue coco latte ($4.49 regular price, $0.99 promo): 16 oz, iced latte made with IIAC gold-award Sirius coffee blend, milk, coconut milk. You can specify the sweetness level but the only options are full or half. The coffee blend is a dark roast. FYI, you should stir the drink before you drink it. I didn’t know and my first sip was very sweet (and I asked for half sweetness). Once I stirred it, it wasn’t so sweet because of the dark roast coffee. The coffee was bitter and the latte creamy. I didn’t love it but I think I ordered the wrong thing. I wanted to see the pretty blue color of the drink.

It's in a busy strip mall but there’s underground parking on two levels.

GG and DD are the top two on main hotsearch right now.

DD because of brand competition sparked by his announcement as the spokesperson for Cotti Coffee. The founder of the brand used to be a key member of the Luckin tea/coffee team, and they have had a bitter rivalry.

When DD was announced and Cotti began making tons of sales, Luckin began offering drinks targeted to his fans at a lower cost.

The GG hotsearch is about a high profile anti who was charged 37k RMB for their online harassment of GG. Netizens are angry and feel that the fine is too low and that this person is part of an organized group of antis and should be sentenced as such.

Kind of a sad way to see both of them in the top...
